WA Stolen Generations Redress Scheme

Survivors of the Stolen Generations in Western Australia will be able to receive an individual payment through the WA Stolen Generations Redress Scheme.
The WA Government announced the scheme on 27 May 2025, during Reconciliation Week, to recognise the harm and trauma caused by the forced removal of First Nations children from their families, communities, culture and Country. The Government has also committed to working with First Nations organisations on a healing and truth-telling process.
First Nations people who were removed from their families in WA before 1 July 1972 will be eligible to apply. Registrations are expected to open later this year, with payments to follow by the end of 2025.
You can find more information and sign up for updates on the WA Government website.
BNTAC will also share updates with members as details become available. Please keep an eye on our website.
