Banjima Country Management
In 2017, BNTAC identified the importance of caring for our community’s Country and commissioned the Banjima Yurlubajagu Strategic Plan (download). This document, made in direct consultation with Banjima Elders, outlines Banjima’s vision for a healthy country and connection to traditional lore.
To Banjima People, all Banjima Country and its elements are important: the animals and plants; the landscape; the water; and the connection to culture.
All these have great cultural and spiritual importance, and Banjima people have stories about many of these that help their conservation and understanding.
